The Lee Foundation was founded in 1997 and serves the Lee community by raising funds from Lee alumni and other area donors for capital improvements on the school grounds. In addition to ongoing grounds maintenance, the Foundation has secured funding for improvements including a front entry garden, an outdoor pavilion, playground equipment, lighting, trees and benches. The Foundation has worked with Howell & VanCuren, a Tulsa landscape design and site-planning firm, to develop a site improvement plan.
The Lee Foundation serves the ongoing population of 400 children at Lee Elementary School. We have a diverse student population of African American, Caucasian, American Indian, Hispanic and Asian students. Lee is a Title 1 school and nearly 50% of students receive free or reduced lunch.
